Occupational therapists treat neurological injuries, orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, complications after surgery, arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, and are trained to address cognitive and visual deficits as well.
Returning you to the activities you do daily - from homemaking tasks around the house to leisure or work tasks - is our primary goal. Often we teach patients how to compensate and adapt if they are dealing with an injury that involves modification to their lifestyle. We can educate and train patients and caregivers in adaptive equipment options, assist with modifying a home environment to deal with low vision needs, or make suggestions on accommodations for work or school.
During our individualized one-on-one treatment sessions, we utilize manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to meet your specific needs and work to accomplish your goals.
